Anderson: Title win was Roy of the Rovers stuff

Director of youth and interim Under-20s boss Derek Anderson compared his young side’s Development League West title success to a Roy of the Rovers tale.

The Ton teens recorded a 1-0 win over Ayr United in a final-day decider at Cappielow after winning nine, drawing one and losing one in their last 11 matches, and Anderson hailed the boys’ refusal to give up on winning the league.
