Bob looking to bag a winning goal at Balmoor

Bob McHugh earned Morton a William Hill Scottish Cup reprieve by equalising in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Peterhead but hopes to bag a more meaningful goal in tomorrow night’s replay at Balmoor.

Penalty-box predator McHugh took his tally to eight for the season when he headed Jack Iredale’s cross into the net at the Sinclair Street end to cancel out Scott Brown’s opener.

The 27-year-old shrugged off getting on the scoresheet as he felt the team were off the pace against the Blue Toon, but says he would take satisfaction should he net again tomorrow to earn Ton a place in the fourth round.
