Cappielow plays host to UEFA Youth League

Cappielow played host to the UEFA Youth League yesterday as Bayern Munich came from behind to beat Celtic 2-1 in front of the BT Sport cameras in Greenock.

The Parkhead club staged their Group B fixture here on Sinclair Street and took a deserved lead through Jack Aitchison‘s clinical 63rd-minute strike.

Set-piece specialist Oliver Meier Batista levelled with a fantastic free-kick on 72 minutes before snatching all three points with a piercing run and finish in the third minute of stoppage time.

It was a cruel end to the match for the young Celtic team, for whom pacey winger Michael Johnston caught the eye in exalted company.
