Club Statement | 12/03/22

During the home victory against Partick Thistle, we faced multiple incidents of fans entering the pitch at Cappielow.

While the result was hugely important, we cannot have supporters entering the pitch at any time during our matches.  Anyone caught doing so will be banned. It is important to understand that every time supporters invade or enter the pitch, the club is at risk of being hit with a financial penalty as a result of those actions.

Financial penalties as a result of such actions would take vital money away from important areas it was originally needed for within the club such as our playing budget or repairs around Cappielow.

We are also aware of issues with stewarding today, and will be raising concerns around this with the appointed company.

We would like to highlight that the majority of supporters backed the team brilliantly today, but behaviour from the minority who entered the pitch was unacceptable.

As we approach the final run in with four games left at Cappielow, we desperately want to see big home crowds supporting the team and backing the boys, but under no circumstances can supporters enter the pitch.

Many thanks
