Duffy: We showed enough guile to beat Brechin

Delighted manager Jim Duffy says his side showed enough guile at the right times to beat a stubborn Brechin City side fighting for their Ladbrokes Championship lives on Saturday.

The Ton took until the 50th minute to make the breakthrough, John Baird scoring his first goal for the club with a header before sealing the win with a lethal finish to complete his double.

Cappielow gaffer Duffy felt his side dominated the encounter and just had to find a way past inspired Glebe Park goalkeeper Graeme Smith in order to fully relax and set themselves on course to clinch maximum points.

He also speaks about Baird getting off the mark for the club, how he was impressed with Gary Fraser’s first Ton start, and congratulates Derek Gaston on his 200th appearance for the club.
