Frank’s wish fulfilled as Ton avoid Dons in draw

Aberdeen loan star Frank Ross was instrumental in Morton qualifying for the Scottish Cup quarter-finals and then admitted he was desparate to avoid his parent club in the draw to allow him to feature in the final eight.

The 19-year-old, who opened the scoring – his first for the club – provided the assist from which Bob McHugh netted the third and also picked up sponsors’ man of the match, got his wish when Ton were paired with Celtic.

Ross also talks us through the build up to his goal, in which he nutmegged a Dumbarton defender and swapped passes with Gary Oliver before sweeping into the net, and says it was his best performance in a Ton shirt so far.
