JJ: Players did everybody proud against Partick

Appreciative Morton boss Jonatan Johansson said his players did everybody proud with their thrilling 5-1 win over Partick Thistle at Cappielow on Saturday.

The Ton came back from behind to register their largest home victory at Championship level in close to a decade thanks to goals from Gary Oliver, Bob McHugh, who bagged a brace, Jack Iredale, and Michael Tidser.

Greenock gaffer Johansson felt everything that he could have asked for was there and he took real satisfaction from the fact his side showed the character required to recover from an early setback.

He also discusses the 5-3-2 system suiting his squad, the quality of the goals, praises the sportsmanship show by Partick after glass smashed in a floodlight, Robert Thomson’s return, and Lewis McGrattan’s senior debut.
