Kyle is embracing Scottish footballing culture

New Morton midfielder Kyle Thomson is embracing the challenge of acclimating to a new footballing culture after switching American university soccer for a professional career in Scotland.

The 22-year-old spent four years playing with Loyola Ramblers as a student athlete in Chicago but always knew he wanted to make the grade abroad and so has been thrilled to win a deal with the Ton after a trial stint.

He also discusses his first professional contract, what he expects will be the major differences between the two countries, his famous father Dougie, who played in Supertramp, and whether he enjoys the band’s music.
