Kyle Thomson receives international clearance

Midfielder Kyle Thomson has today received international clearance and will be available for selection in Saturday’s Ladbrokes Championship fixture against Queen of the South.

The 22-year-old American put pen to paper on a six-month contract on 20 July after a successful trial stint, during which he played in a pre-season friendly against Forfar Athletic.

Thomson, a former Loyola Ramblers and Michigan Bucks player, was ineligible for the Betfred Cup ties against Stenhousemuir and Albion Rovers but will now bolster Ray McKinnon’s squad for the big league kick-off.
