Kick-off 7.05pm

Scene Setter

It’s showtime for Morton on Friday night as they are live on BBC Scotland when Morton hope to give Dundee a fright on the day after Halloween in the Ladbrokes Championship.

This will be Morton’s third game in the space of a week and will hope to end these run of fixtures on a high with a victory in Dundee.

The Ton remain winless on the road this season and as the season progresses, the team and supporters will be hoping that this run ends and that the Ton will at last get a win away from home.

For Dundee, this is their first home game in two weeks following two victories against Alloa and Ayr both away from home, and they see themselves in the playoff positions for now.

James McPake’s men will be hoping to continue their winning streak and make it three wins in their last three games with a victory against Morton.

Current Connections

Dunoon native Declan McDaid came through the youth ranks at Cappielow and made one first-team appearance before electing to move to Partick Thistle in the summer of 2013.

Paul McGowan came to the Ton on loan from Celtic in the 2006/07 season when Morton were victorious and became Second Division winners. McGowan was named player of the month for January in this season and was also chosen for the team of the year for the league.

Last Time Round

Morton got a huge 1-0 victory against Dundee in our previous meeting when Peter Grant got the only goal of the game just before half-time.

The Ton had been defeated three matches in a row prior to this game after three weeks on the road but a return to their home turf proved a success for the Sinclair Street side.

A very important tackle from Brian McLean secured Morton’s victory and meant that the Ton, despite it being early days, would climb into the playoff places following this win.
