Kick-off 3pm

Scene Setter

It is the start of a new era at Morton as the newly-appointed management team of Gus MacPherson and Andy Millen take charge of their first game as ‘Ton manager and assistant as the Greenock men travel to take on Dunfermline Athletic at East End Park in the Scottish Championship.

A fantastic result against Inverness Caledonian Thistle on Tuesday night will be a huge momentum boost for the Sinclair Street side as they look to make it back to back wins on the road by securing all three points tomorrow.

For Dunfermline they have been without a game after a few postponements due to Covid and will be looking at getting back on track after their 1-0 defeat against Queen of the South at the end of last month.

Last Time Round

Morton and Dunfermline could not be separated after an uneventful goalless draw at a freezing cold Cappielow Park back in January.

The game would prove something of a quiet evening for both custodians, however, with chances at a premium until the closing stages of the encounter.

It meant a first clean sheet on league duty since December’s 2-0 victory over Queen of the South and a point on board that saw the ‘Ton ascend into a play-off position.
