MATCH RESULT: Alloa 0-2 Morton

Morton are stepping into Christmas with a hugely important 2-0 victory away from home against Alloa Athletic in what was a great performance from the Cappielow side.

A wonder strike from Nicky Cadden on 64 minutes and a quickfire second from centre-half Jack Baird on 67 minutes gave Morton a magnificent and deserved win just in time for the festive season.

This now puts Morton 8th in the league and out of the relegation places at Christmas.
