Matchwinner Millar enjoying licence to roam

Chuffed goal hero Chris Millar has put his Alloa double down to being given a licence to get forward by Morton boss Ray McKinnon and says there is no better feeling than finding the back of the net.

After rarely getting on the scoresheet in his St Johnstone days, Millar, who netted 35 times in his first spell with the Ton, bagged a brace in his sixth game back with the Cappielow club.

Millar played in a deeper midfield role for the Saints but has been deployed on the right of a midfield three under McKinnon and reckons that freedom is responsible for him getting back amongst the goals.

The 35-year-old also discusses the hard-fought 2-0 win, says they were delighted with the three points, identifies the need to be better than they were in the second half, and ranks his second strike amongst his best.
