McHugh feeling confident in front of goal

Razor-sharp striker Bob McHugh says he is feeling confident in front of goal after netting his second strike in as many games by opening the scoring against Albion Rovers on Saturday.

The 27-year-old followed up his poacher’s header against Stenhousemuir with a lethal hooked finish against the Cliftonhill club in Ton’s final Betfred Cup Group E tie at the weekend.

And after what he describes as a hit and miss first season at Cappielow, the former Motherwell and Falkirk forward is over his injuries and optimistic about the campaign ahead.

McHugh also discusses putting Albion to the sword in the second half as well as admitting the goal he assisted for Connor Bell was actually the pick of the bunch.
