Morton Unite With Clubs For Social Media Boycott

Greenock Morton Football Club are pleased to be supporting this weekend’s boycott of social media in response to the discriminatory abuse aimed at players, staff and supporters across our game.

Discrimination affects not just the victim but the friends, families and entire communities. The trauma caused may not always be visible.

We stand united against discriminatory language and behaviour and we encourage everyone to continue to play their part in eradicating it from our society.

From 3pm Friday 30 April until 9am Tuesday 4 May we will be limiting our content on social media including matchday coverage for tomorrow’s game against Arbroath where we will only be announcing our team lineup on Facebook and Twitter.

Thank you for your support and continued work within diversity and inclusion, every step that we take creates a more welcoming and safe environment for everyone within our game to flourish.
