Ray: Signs we’re moving in the right direction

Manager Ray McKinnon admits his new-look Morton aren’t going to become Brazil overnight but says that in last night’s performance against Partick Thistle he saw real signs that his team are moving in the right direction.

Although Ton suffered a 2-1 defeat to last term’s relegated Premiership club Partick Thistle at the Energy Check Stadium at Firhill, the Greenock gaffer was upbeat after a strong second-half display.

McKinnon also felt it was his harsh on his side to go in 2-0 down at the interval, explains his decision to try Michael Tidser at left-back and Jack Iredale on the left wing, and praises the performance of debutant Reghan Tumilty.
