Ray: There’s a lot to work on but we will improve

Manager Ray McKinnon admitted there is still a lot to work to be done after watching his side lose 3-1 away at Ayr United on Saturday but also insists his team will continue to improve ahead of the league campaign.

Although the Ton boss was pleased with the first-half display at Somerset Park, he expressed his frustration at the preventable goals they conceded after the break as they went down to a Betfred Cup defeat.

The 47-year-old says he will analyse the goals with the players and also discusses his 3-5-2 formation, the injury to Kerr Waddell, the intention to continue to add to his squad, and the club captaincy.
