Reghan Tumilty signs contract extension

We are pleased to report that right-back Reghan Tumilty has today penned a one-year contract extension to commit himself to the club until 10 June 2020.

Reghan joined the club in July last year, scoring on his debut in a Betfred Cup tie away at Partick Thistle just hours after putting pen to paper.

The former Ross County and Falkirk full-back went on to make 36 starts and two substitute appearances over the course of the campaign.

Tumilty, 22, is now looking forward to working with the new management team of David Hopkin and Anton McElhone and building on last term’s fifth-place finish.

He said: “I’ve signed a year’s extension, and it’s good to get it done before I go away on holiday. I’m really happy to be staying, and the reason I did was the manager, Anton, and Dave [MacKinnon].

“They’re really good guys and that’s what attracted me to sign again. They are really positive and making really positive changes about the place and adding more professionalism and structure.

“I had doubts about the travelling, because I come from just past Stirling. That’s about 120 miles, three hours travelling time all in if it’s busy, but it will be worth it to work with the manager

“My back and my hammys were in bits by the end of last season, but I got through it and the positive changes the manager and Dave are talking about, like ice baths and things will help with recovery, so it all sounds really exciting.”

Meanwhile, defender Gregor Buchanan has advised that he will not be re-signing with the club. We thank Gregor for his efforts in his season at Cappielow and wish him the very best in his future career.
