Scotland game moved due to electrical issue

Due to an unforeseen issue concerning one of our floodlight towers, tomorrow evening’s UEFA European Under-17 Championship elite round qualifying fixture between Scotland and Montenegro has been reassigned.

Our club electrician worked tirelessly in order to solve the problem ahead of the game but today learned that the necessary part could not be delivered until the beginning of next week.

As a result of the absence of adequate lighting for the 7.30pm kick-off, the Scottish Football Association have switched the Group 4 fixture from Cappielow to the Paisley 2021 Stadium.

However, Sunday’s clash between Montenegro and Switzerland will still be staged here on Sinclair Street, as will two additional fixtures.

Serbia and Switzerland will now face off at Cappielow at 1pm tomorrow afternoon before both Serbia and Montenegro return next Wednesday, 22 March, to complete the final round of matches.

Friday 17 March

Serbia Under-17s v Switzerland Under-17s
Kick-off 1pm

Sunday 19 March

Switzerland Under-17s v Montenegro Under-17s
Kick-off 1pm

Wednesday 22 March

Montenegro Under-17s v Serbia Under-17s
Kick-off 5pm

Admission to all matches is free. However, under-16s must be accompanied by one adult per four children.
