Scotland Schoolboys international moved

We regret to announce that Friday’s upcoming Centenary Shield international match between Scotland and Northern Ireland schoolboys has had to be moved from Cappielow to Renfrew.

Following on from last season’s well-received Auld Enemy clash in Greenock on Friday 3 March 2017, the Scottish Schools Football Association were set to return to Sinclair Street this week.

However, the recent unprecented snowfall in Inverclyde has seen the fixture switched to Renfrew Juniors’ New Western Park. Kick off is still 7pm and admission is £5 for adults and £2 for OAPs and children.

Morton will still see some involvement in the encounter, however, with Under-17s defender Gavin Watt, who recently started for the Under-20s against Queen’s Park, selected in the national squad.
