Supporters to vote on next season’s away kit

Morton supporters will have the opportunity to select the club’s next away kit when four bespoke shirts are unveiled and put to a vote at Smiths of Greenock this Friday at 1pm.

A hand-picked group of talented designers, including previous competition winners Peter Fleming and Gavin McIntosh, were asked to submit two entries each for consideration.

These were then narrowed down to the final four by a panel of club staff, fans, experts at kit manufacturers Vision, and the creators themselves.

Ton supporters will be able to cast their ballot at Smiths from Friday through to Saturday 22 December at 1pm, at which point the shirts will be moved to the portable club shop on Sinclair Street for a final round of voting.

We host Inverness Caledonian Thistle at Cappielow that afternoon, and this will allow anyone who is unable to make it to the West Blackhall Street store to have their say.

Chief executive Warren Hawke said: “We have listened to fan feedback on our previous kit design competitions and refined the process for next season’s away kit.

“From the standard of entires submitted in the past, it became apparent that we had a number of creative and skilled designers amongst our support, and we decided to directly harness their talents this time.

“Ultimately, we feel it is important to continue to listen to and engage with our supporters, and so we have once again given them the final say with a public vote that I expect to prove just as popular as in previous years.”
