Ton drawn away to Dunfermline in Scottish Cup

We were tonight drawn away to Dunfermline Athletic in the fourth round of the William Hill Scottish Cup, with the tie scheduled to be played at East End Park on the weekend of 20/21 January 2018.

The clubs were the first two pulled from the hat, setting up an all-Championship affair that, by coincidence, will also be contested on league duty tomorrow night.

However, it will be the first occasion that the teams will have faced off in this competition in over 37 years, since the Ton ran out 5-0 winners at Cappielow on 16 February 1980.

Goals from Stewart Mauchlen, Charlie Brown, Bobby Thomson, Andy Ritchie, and Jim Tolmie saw Benny Rooney’s men run out comfortable victors in front of 4,941 fans.

The full draw was as follows:

Dunfermline Athletic v Morton

Ayr United v Arbroath
