Update: Electronic Turnstiles

As supporters will be aware, the club has made a large investment in state-of-the-art electronic turnstiles to facilitate quicker and easier entry to the ground on matchdays, including the opportunity for supporters to prepay in advance online.

We are pleased to report that the physical installation has gone well, particularly given the short timescales of the close season.

However, there have been software issues which have delayed the issue of some season cards and fans cards and getting the online facilities to operate in a way that the club considers satisfactory.

This has been exacerbated by the late installation of upgraded internet facilities at the ground. The latter is now installed and operational, whilst our software suppliers are working to resolve their remaining issues.

We are told to expect that the system will be fully operational in the course of the coming week but possibly not in time for our home match on Tuesday night against Queen’s Park.

Accordingly, we intend, for this match only, to ask fans to adhere to the following:

  • Fans using the mainstand should buy a ticket at the new ticket booth near the mainstand gate on Sinclair Street.  These tickets will have a scannable bar code which will operate the electronic turnstiles.
  • Fans using the Cowshed can either purchase a ticket as above for use at the Cowshed turnstiles or alternatively, if preferred, we will have some gates open at the Wee Dublin end which will allow access to the Cowshed.

After the match, fans will exit as normal via the main gates onto Sinclair Street.

To help facilitate the above we would ask fans where possible to have the correct change available which will speed up the issue of tickets. Prices are £12 for adults and £6 for concessions (Over 65, Under 16 and students).
