Kerr Waddell loving every minute at Morton

Delighted Dundee defender Kerr Waddell says he knew he wanted to extend his stay with Morton as soon as manager Jonatan Johansson expressed an interest in keeping him at Cappielow.

The centre-half joined the club back in July on an initial deal until January, but Greenock gaffer Johansson moved to lengthen that agreement after some impressive displays at the heart of the Ton defence.

And Waddell was keen to commit to the club until the end of the season, saying that he has loved every minute of his time with the Ton so far.

The 20-year-old also talks living locally, identifying with the supporters as an Arbroath fan himself, Saturday’s 2-0 loss to Alloa, his challenge on Wasps keeper Neil Parry, and looks ahead to Saturday’s game against Ayr United.
